About MBA Math - Management
Peter Regan created MBA Math to help incoming MBA students develop the
quantitative skills they need to achieve their academic and professional potential.
He has an academic background in decision making under uncertainty (PhD, Stanford
Engineering) and professional experience in management consulting, software development,
and entrepreneurship. His published writings focus on MBA teaching, decision making, and
decision technology.
After working for biotech, financial services, and consulting firms, Dr. Regan founded his own
consulting and technology firm in 1995, which became DecisionClass, LLC in 2001. Dr. Regan worked
collaboratively with strategy consultants and global life sciences companies.
He began teaching a
decision science consulting practice
course for part of each year at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1998.
In 2000 he started teaching a 35-hour one-week on-campus quantitative skills course at Tuck that is
offered the week before first-year orientation. He continues to teach both courses at Tuck.
Since 2004, Dr. Regan focuses on MBA teaching and refining the MBA Math online course.
Starting in 2007-2008, he also teaches a three-day on-campus quantitative skills course at
Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a second-year decision consulting practice
